Cyber Essentials Accreditation
Abtech has achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation, marking an important step in its ongoing commitment to maintaining strong cyber security standards across the business.
The Cyber Essentials scheme, backed by the UK government and delivered by the National Cyber Security Centre, helps organisations protect themselves against the most common cyber attacks. It provides a clear framework of essential technical controls that improve security and reduce exposure to risk.
By achieving accreditation, Abtech has demonstrated that key security measures are in place and operating effectively. The scheme focuses on five technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management. These controls are designed to prevent the majority of common cyber threats.
Cyber Essentials is recognised across the UK as a baseline standard for cyber security. It supports organisations in strengthening their defences while providing assurance to customers and partners that appropriate protections are in place.
For Abtech, this certification reflects a continued focus on protecting systems, data and services, and maintaining robust security practices as part of day to day operations.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, Cyber Essentials provides a practical and effective foundation for organisations to manage risk and maintain secure environments.
