From exposed offshore windfarms to efficient biomass power generation projects, Abtech enclosures have been used to provide the critical link from LV & MV cable jointing, lighting control relays through to Lidar and Wave-radar instrumentation hookups.

We work closely with all partners in the supply chain including designers, EPC contractors and electrical wholesalers to ensure equipment matches project specifications and timescales.

Recent projects have included the Beatrice, Racebank and Rampion Offshore windfarms. These exposed marine locations demand equipment that provides both high levels of ingress protection and resistance to salinity. For such environments, we use only the high specification 316 (1.404) stainless steel or highly UV resistant GRP.

Abtech also offers a range of fibre optic termination enclosures built to safeguard vital data connections between wind turbine generators. Our IP66 corrosion-resistant enclosures deliver unmatched durability and protection.

Designed to operate in the harshest of marine conditions and to accomodate the demand for increased voltages, our 72.5kV enclosures are suitable for offshore wind farms and oil & gas installations. They can be configured either as side-by-side or back-to-back connections. The latter has the option of two seperable, lockable compartments that can be individually terminated and secured.
